Notebook/Journal

Your notebook and journal will be evaluated approximately every ten days. You will be expected to have the following items in your notebook:

> "Book(s) I am reading now" and "Book(s) I plan to read next"

> Vocabulary- four words per week, each to include "What I thought it meant" and "What I found out it means" and "How I will remember it," and the dates you came across the words.

> Reading Logs- Four reading logs per week, each to include: date;book title; time spent reading; page numbers read.

You will be expected to write a total of three full pages per week in your journal. Just as with your self-selected reading, the choice of what you write and what you write about it is up to you. This might include reflections on what you are reading, or about events in your life or the world, poems, your own fiction or anything else.
